Hi all! I hope you have been enjoying your weekend. It’s crazy how fast they come and go. I’m sure you all can second that!
I celebrated a friends birthday last night with a lovely dinner and drinks. I don’t know about you all, but when I have something to celebrate (ok not just a celebration but any given night out) it’s an excuse to buy a new outfit. Of course I have nothing to wear in my closet, haha 😉! I told myself that I was going to wear something I already own and not to go buy anything but that of course changed! I mean come on….we always feel better with something new, right? 4 hours before meeting friends I ran to the mall and walked out within 15 mins with a top, hat and necklace for all just under $50. Can you believe it?!
This high neck amber colored ruffled blouse just popped out at me! My envision was to find something just like it and I certainly did. I just love the ruffled trumpet-style cuffs and the breezy feel of it! So romantic and a touch a vintage charm!
I went with a dressed down look and paired the blouse with American Eagle light colored distressed flare jeans, lace up platform shoes from Simmi, boho jewels (all from Forever 21) a fun little handbag (old from H&M) and a Forever 21 fedora.
My favorite accessory are hats! Let’s just say I’m OBSESSED!! I love them not only because they stand out but they complete a look. They bring back that boho 70’s flavor! My secret to wearing a hat is having a simple yet trendy hairstyle to go with it. There’s no need to spend a lot of time on your hair. Just go with natural beachy waves or pull it to one side and add a loose braid. I mean after all….you are wanting to make a statement with that hat so keep the hair simple! When shopping for a hat just remember to make sure it isn’t wearing you. Find one(s) that fits properly. I love this faux suede taupe fedora. It’s not too big and the color and fit are perfect! It’ll for sure get some good use!
Thanks for stopping by!
